but I would call Mr. Secretary Harcourt's particular attention to the matters mentioned in Paragraph 1 of

this letter.

3. I note your statement that the Crown Agents will issue to me my full salary up to the 5th March

inclusive, and half salary for the remainder of my leave

of absence, subject to readjustment.

I beg to point out, however, that I am entitled to

full pay to the 29th May, my salary having been commuted

according to length of service in the Colony as appears

on my leave certificate.

I desire also to point out that to place me on half

pay on so short a notice renders it somewhat inconvenient

for me to arrange my financial matters; my 111-health

has also been a source of expense to me. Again, if you

will kindly refer to enclosure marked "D" in my letter

to you of the 30th January, it will be noted that I

worked 163 days extra, 64 of which were Sundays, in con-

nection with the New Post Office even during the years

1909 and 1910 without extra recognition and this case is

by no means an isolated one,

I am,

Sir,

Your obedient Servant,

H.G. Fisher.

To

The Under Secretary of State,

Colonial Office,

London, S.T.
